The Last Few Weeks...

So after we spent a weekend at North Lake with our friends Alexander & I were on our way back out there the following weekend! It was a quiet couple of nights there but it gave us time to get our stuff situated in the Mini Cooper for a 9 hour drive to MO! My best friend, Maria, from high school moved out to Kansas City several years ago and after last year getting married she's already had her first child! I was so excited to meet 'Baby Quinn'!

A was such a good boy for the long car ride, we've come a long way from when he was a newborn and screamed the second I got him in the carseat and didn't stop until he got out. We had such a great trip! We enjoyed the new LegoLand one day, a pool/relaxing day and a day at the aquarium. We left Friday morning to head back to MI and once again, A was so good!

We enjoyed lunch at Fritz's where you order your food over the phone and then it gets delivered by a train. A loved it!!

"Yook Mimi, choo choo comes!"

Trying to cool off in the extremely hot weather!

A & I came home on Saturday and were able to spend some time with friends that live in Seattle. We always have such a nice time with the Rettell family and A surprised us again with his adventurous nature!

The past week we have been recovering from lots of driving and catching up on housework! And of course, last weekend, A spiked a high fever, the highest he's ever had and we weren't quite sure what it was. So on Sunday, we thought he was starting to feel better we decided to go to his first Tigers game. It was fun but he is still way too young to enjoy the game so we only watched the first 2 innings in our seat and then left by the 5 or 6 inning and it ended up being one of the best games of the season, go figure! And of course after we got home I became 100% positive that A had hand foot & mouth! He only has a couple blisters on his feet and hands so I believe it was a pretty mild case but either way I dragged him out when he was very contagious!

It's been a fun and very busy few weeks but I am so glad to finally be home and relax!
